It is SUCH a boon to be able to build this tiny house inside. Midwest weather is notoriously changeable--yesterday we needed protection from the sun, today we needed protection from the rain!
When I hear about other tiny housers having to endlessly tarp and untarp or constantly move and relevel their trailer, I'm SO grateful to be able to work rain or shine, and on a fairly level concrete floor as well!
Today we framed in the main floor. We used 2x6s because I want extra insulation in the floor. In the pictures you can see the three sections we framed in: The tail end, where the bed will go; then the mid section where the sitting, cooking and desking will happen; and finally the hitch end, where the bathroom, entry and stove will be.
