I love walled gardens--I love the way you walk into them and suddenly you're in a new world, I love the way you are free to create that world within those walls, I love designing the systems for that world and endlessly tweaking and improving them.

So I was thrilled when I was given "squatter's rights" to the dead end of an alley.  Wedged between 3 properties, it was basically a walled garden with one open side.
